Back in trend: Kim Kardashian showed a bold manicure

Elena BylimNews

Kim Kardashian never ceases to amaze her fans. This time, she showed off a bold manicure that brings us back to the trends of 2021.

After the "nude manicure" style, popular among celebrities, lost its popularity, Kardashian decided to bet on a more extravagant look. She appeared on the Sunday show SNL50: The Anniversary Special with a manicure reminiscent of past designs, but in a more restrained way.

This manicure is called "pipes" or "coffin nails" because of its characteristic shape with long, square tips. Last year, Kim preferred more minimalist manicure options, but this time she decided to return to her old style. She paired a luxurious nude nail color with a silver Balenciaga dress to create an unbeatable look.

Kardashian's manicure was created by the famous nail technician Kim Truong, who also works with other celebrities, including Anya Taylor-Joy, Dua Lipa, and Rihanna. She explained in detail on Instagram how this spectacular style was created. To do this, a special shape was used to lengthen the nails, after which light peach gel polish was applied and fixed with a top coat with a glitter effect.

Despite the fact that minimalist manicure is still in fashion, Kardashian has apparently decided to return to more dramatic options. She's not the only one who chooses this shape of nails: Jennifer Lopez and Khloe Kardashian are also among the fans of "coffin nails."

It looks like the trend for bolder and more expressive nail shapes is just around the corner, and we'll see even more of these bold manicures among celebrities in the future.
