Avoid them: 5 unobvious anti-trends for spring and summer 2024

Fashion is fickle. Yesterday's trends become anti-trends and vice versa. You don't need to completely renew your wardrobe every season! It's only financially beneficial for brands... How not to lose? Firstly, rely on basic clothes of good quality that remain relevant for years. Secondly, don't throw away some of the outdated items, but put them in the closet (in case they regain their glory).

The "pink in everything" aesthetic was popular in 2023. All thanks to the competent PR of the movie Barbie. Now we have to admit that this trend is tired. Nowadays, a bow in classic colors will look more advantageous: pistachio, chocolate, milk, burgundy, navy, black, cream, or, for example, emerald.

2. Low-rise

Despite the fact that designers are trying to bring this style back into fashion, fashion influencers are losing interest in it. And this trend is understandable! After all, low-rise skirts, pants and dresses visually shorten the legs and distort the proportions of the figure. What to choose instead? Medium- or high-waisted items are more suitable for you.

3. Baseball cap with classic clothes

In the last few years, it was considered a special chic to combine sportswear with classic clothes. Now this fashion technique is gradually becoming a thing of the past. Why? Because it is being pushed off the pedestal by the "quiet luxury" and Old Money aesthetics, which are against any mix of styles. Especially the combination of a baseball cap with a logo and a classic suit quickly became old-fashioned.

4. Total oversize

The voluminous cut of clothes can both "add" extra pounds and "make" the wearer slimmer. It all depends on the styling and body measurements. What should definitely be avoided is excessive oversize (especially a total look). It does not suit anyone. It is better to combine a slightly voluminous top with a narrower bottom - and vice versa.

5. Blouses with puffed sleeves

If it's a fancy (translucent) blouse with puffed puffed sleeves, feel free to wear it with basic T-shirts or bodysuits. However, it is better not to wear items made of denser fabrics (such as silk or cotton). The thing is that their sleeves "add" extra volume to the upper part of the figure, and make the arms and shoulders look more massive.
