Prague City Hall

The building was erected in 1991 on the site of the dismantled Stalin monument. It is now called the time capsule. From here you can admire the capital and the Vltava River. By the way, the location is popular with skateboarding enthusiasts.

It is said that the attraction helped the Czechs decide whether to join the European Union. How did this happen? There were 'Yes' and 'No' signs on both sides of the pendulum. The pendulum swung indecisively for a long time, and then finally settled on a positive answer.

Address: nábř. E. Beneše.

Lennon Wall

Located opposite the French Embassy. In 1980, after the singer's murder, an unknown artist painted his portrait here. To this day, the wall has been repainted and altered many times: people have written poems, brought flowers, left messages and social slogans. Today, the attraction has become an open-air gallery. By the way, more than 30 professional artists worked on it.

You can learn more about the history of the attraction in the museum nearby. Dozens of photographs are kept here. You can also watch a documentary.

U Luzickeho Seminare

The narrowest street in the capital. It is 70 centimeters wide and about 32 meters long. A traffic light was placed here so that people could walk through the passage without any obstacles.

An interesting fact: the attraction is actually a fire escape. It was created around the 15th century after two large-scale fires to ensure quick evacuation.

Museum of Alchemists and Magicians of Old Prague

Located in the former laboratory of researcher Edward Kelly. Here travelers can learn about the development of science. They can also visit the office where the avid experimenter once worked.

Various vessels, flasks, and books are also kept here. By the way, we advise you to go up to the attic of the building, which is reached by one of the oldest spiral staircases in the city.

We also recommend going to the Kellyxír cafe. The place has created an atmosphere where visitors can feel like guests at a scientist's home. The walls and ceiling are painted and candles and hanging tubes are everywhere.

March of the Penguins

The installation is located on the platform of the Vltava River. It was created by the creative association Cracking Art in 2008. It features a composition of 34 birds. By the way, the yellow sculptures were made of recycled plastic to draw public attention to the issue of environmental pollution.

We advise you to come here in the evening, when the composition begins to glow from the inside.

We also recommend visiting the Kampa Museum of Contemporary Art. It was opened in 2003. It houses a large collection of works by prominent European artists. In particular, František Kupka and Otto Gutfreund.
