The 6th stage of the Biathlon World Cup, currently underway in Antholz/Anterselva, Italy, featured a mixed relay race. Only 12 of the 24 entered teams completed the race.

A total of 23 teams took the start (Japan did not start), but 11 teams were disqualified by the organizers for round-robin violations.

The last team to cross the finish line was Belgium, finishing more than 5 minutes behind the first-place Norwegians.

The Ukrainian national team, represented by Anastasia Merkushyna, Yulia Dzhima, Denys Nasyka, and Dmytro Pidruchnyi, secured the 9th position. Our biathletes used 12 additional rounds and finished 3 minutes after the winner.

According to OBOZ.UA, the day before, Swiss biathlete Elena Hecki Gross sensationally won the short individual race at the sixth stage of the World Cup in the Italian town of Antholz-Anterselva.

The 29-year-old athlete, who had only reached the podium once this year, completed the 12.5 km course in 36 minutes and 49 seconds.
