Artist Nikita Titov named the ideal city of Ukraine in terms of architecture: Karol, Vitovska and Hnatkovskyi were born there

Talented Ukrainian artist Nikita Titov called Ivano-Frankivsk "an almost perfect city in terms of architecture." The only thing he didn't like was the "interference of crazy money and tastes of the nineties," which, according to him, can be seen in other Ukrainian cities.

The Ukrainian painted a vivid picture of one of the cozy streets of Frankivsk. The small hometown of singer Tina Karol, actor Oleksiy Hnatkovskyi, and his colleague Irma Vitovska was praised on Facebook.

"Frankivsk is almost a perfect city in terms of architecture. It doesn't press, it doesn't show off in its pomp, it lets your eyes rest until you come across another masterpiece. Why almost? Because here, as elsewhere, you can see the intervention of the crazy money and tastes of the nineties, the consequences of which will be studied with great surprise in the architectural schools of the future," the artist explained.

The peculiarity of Ivano-Frankivsk's architecture is not in the overabundance of monuments, but in how harmoniously they look in the overall composition. The city center is not lined with business buildings or skyscrapers.

All new neighborhoods are located on the outskirts, where they are rapidly expanding. The central part remains as atmospheric and unobtrusive in its beauty as it was decades before.

Most of Ivano-Frankivsk's architectural and cultural monuments are restored and returned to their original places rather than replaced with new ones, and local blacksmiths add beautiful new details to the central areas every year.

Since the outbreak of full-scale war, the city's central street, Stometrivka, has changed somewhat. It used to be loved for its planted trees, iron swing, and street musicians, but now it has been replaced by an alley with images of heroes who died in the war.

Not so long ago, the city opened an access to the observation deck of the central Town Hall, from where you can enjoy an incredible view. All tourists are advised to visit this place.

Connoisseurs of old churches can explore the most prominent of them by spending just a few minutes on the road. The Collegiate Farnian Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Holy Protection Cathedral (Armenian Church) are actually built opposite each other. In general, the city has a lot of temples, chapels and beautiful churches.

Until recently, there were no large-scale shopping and entertainment centers here, which made the city individual in its own way and gave space for small businesses to operate. The center is mostly dotted with small shops, pubs, and restaurants that have no analogues in Ukraine.

For example, the Ten restaurant is a landmark in Ivano-Frankivsk, and it is almost impossible to get in without an appointment. As for chain stores and restaurants, they are located a little further away from the city center, but due to affordable travel prices and the relatively small scale of Ivano-Frankivsk, it takes less than an hour to get from one end of the city to the other.

The regional center takes care not only of its cultural and architectural heritage, but also of its youth development zone. A few years ago, the city created the urban project Promprylad.Renovation, a center based on an old factory that had been idle for a long time.

The building was reconstructed and a zone was created for studying, working, gatherings with friends, etc. This is how Ivano-Frankivsk got a place where like-minded people can spend time culturally, enjoy music, work, or eat.

After walking 10 minutes from the center to the park along the tree-lined Shevchenko Street, you can find yourself in a spacious and multifunctional city park with new playgrounds for children, rides, a slide, a collection of rare trees, monuments to prominent Ukrainian cultural figures, and a large lake around which Ivano-Frankivsk athletes and vacationers gather.
