These archive photos show what Kyiv looked like 100 years ago

Old photographs are still an opportunity to see what Kyiv used to look like. For example, 100 years ago, Khreshchatyk looked completely different, and the Golden Gate was a ruin that no one cared for.

The archive photos were published on the channel Thirst: Kyiv is interesting" on Facebook. The city has changed a lot over the years.

"1920s. Unfamiliar Kyiv in photos 100 years ago," the post reads.

The published pictures show the center of the capital, including the ruins of the Golden Gate, the embankment of Poshtova Square and Kyiv cliffs.
