Apple showed the iPhone 16 and more: all the features, how much it will cost. Photos and videos

Recently, the long-awaited presentation of a new smartphone from Apple took place. It was one of the most anticipated events of the fall of 2024.

This time, the company has once again impressed the world of technology by presenting the new iPhone 16 line. Read about the new flagship in the OBOZ.UA article.

Design and colors of the iPhone 16

One of the main visual changes is the updated camera design. In the basic models of the iPhone 16, Apple decided to replace the diagonal arrangement with a vertical one. Thanks to this, the protrusion was reduced, making the gadget look more elegant.

The microphone is now located next to the lenses. The flash is located next to it on the back of the device.

An interesting novelty is the replacement of the traditional mute switch with an action button, which is already familiar to iPhone 15 Pro users. Below it are the volume buttons.

The new camera button is called Camera Control and is slightly recessed into the body. Pressing it launches the camera app, pressing it will take a photo, and holding it down will start recording video.

The colors of the new line are also impressive. The iPhone 16 will be available in black, green, pink, blue, and white.

The professional models, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, will be presented in a titanium body with new shades: Desert Yellow/Desert Titanium and Cement Gray/Titanium Gray.

Displays.

The iPhone 16 lineup has received several changes in screen sizes, namely an increase of about 0.2 inches:

• iPhone 16 - 6.1 in;
• iPhone 16 Plus - 6.7 inches;
• iPhone 16 Pro - 6.3 inches;
• iPhone 16 Pro Max - 6.9 inches.

In addition, all models will receive Dynamic Island. At the same time, the OLED displays of the new smartphones use microlens technology, which will improve screen brightness and reduce power consumption. Apple has also reduced the bezels with the new Border Reduction Structure (BRS) technology.

Power and performance

The iPhone 16 Pro has an A18 Pro processor, which is physically larger than previous versions. This will provide support for new artificial intelligence features that run directly on the device, not in the cloud.

The basic iPhone 16 models will be equipped with the A18 processor, a simplified version of the A17 Pro.

New buttons.

The iPhone 16 Pro has two new buttons: the Action button and the Capture button.

The action button replaces the mute switch and can perform various functions, such as turning on the flashlight or launching the camera.

The capture button, located below the 5G antenna, is mechanical and responds to pressure and touch. It allows you to adjust the image scale, focus with a light touch, and start recording video.

Cameras.

The 48-megapixel main camera can work as a 2-telephoto camera, and the 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera can also take macro shots. Apple says it's four cameras in one body.

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max have an updated 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera. This will significantly improve the quality of images in low light conditions. Also, the Pro Max will have a "super telephoto" periscope camera, which will significantly increase the optical zoom capabilities.

The camera app in the iPhone 16 Pro will have preset image styles, and users will also be able to add their own.

Battery life.

The iPhone 16 batteries have a similar capacity to the iPhone 15 line, but some models have received a 5% increase.

Pro models will support up to 40W of wired charging and 20W of MagSafe charging.

Connectivity and other features

The iPhone 16 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X75 modem, which will provide faster 5G speeds and coverage, better location accuracy, and more.

Professional models will support Wi-Fi 7, and basic models will support Wi-Fi 6E. Also, all models have 8 GB of RAM and a USB-C port for charging, just like last year's iPhone 15 line.

Price.

Basic models will cost from $799, iPhone 16 Plus - from $899, and Pro models - from $999.
