An incredible tennis shot has collected 1 million views in a few days. Video
Alexander Bublik made a stunning shot in the 1/32 finals of the Canadian Open tennis championships in Montreal. In the game against American Ben Shelton, the Kazakhstani, catching up with his shortened opponent, threw his racket at the ball.
At the same time, Bublik not only hit it, but he did so in such a way that the round ball flew over the net, and Shelton did not have time to catch it. This happened on Shelton's match ball, so the referee immediately announced: "Game, set, and match to Shelton," despite Alexander's seemingly won point. The match ended with a score of 6:7 (4:7), 6:2.
It turned out that Bublik broke several rules with his shot.
First, the racket must be in the player's hand at the time of the shot. Second, players are not allowed to touch the net with anything while the ball is in play.
And at the moment when Bublik's racket hit the net, the ball had not yet bounced back to Shelton's half. The video shows that Ben immediately pointed this out to the referee just in case.
This punch by Alexander Bublik went viral on social media, garnering 1 million views in a few days. Fans admire the Kazakhstani tennis player because what he did is extremely rare.
