'Incest scene' found in new Netflix Christmas movie: what outraged viewers

An "incest scene" was found in the movie "Family Exchange"

On the eve of the New Year holidays, Netflix presented a new Christmas movie called "Family Switch" starring Jennifer Garner, Ed Helms and others. No one expected it, but the cute family comedy received a flurry of hate online. The reason was an "incest" scene that puzzled and outraged viewers.

Internet users who have already watched the movie write that the controversial fragment could have been avoided. They also wonder whether none of the film crew was embarrassed by this scene. OBOZ.UA will tell you what the problem is.

"Family Switch" tells us a rather classic story about a family whose members no longer understand each other. Teenage children complain about their parents, and parents complain about their children.

"A few days before Christmas, a rare event on a cosmic scale forces parents to switch bodies with their teenage children... and chaos ensues at home," reads the description of the movie on the Netflix website.

The plot takes an ambiguous turn when the brother and sister, now in their parents' bodies, share a kiss. According to online commentators, this scene made them feel uncomfortable. Viewers questioned the need for such a storyline in the movie and said it ruined their overall impression of the comedy.

Disappointed commenters shared: "The accidental incest in 'Family Switch' caught me off guard," "How did this incest scene contribute to the plot? And why did you put it in a holiday movie that is advertised as a family movie?", "This comedy was already on a pretty low level, but the incest jokes...", "Couldn't you have avoided it?"

We would like to add that the age limit for the movie is 7+ years.
