On the morning of Monday, February 3, an explosion occurred in an elite residential complex in Moscow. Five people were injured, and one was killed.

According to Russian media and Telegram channels, the explosion occurred in the Alye Parusa residential complex on Aviatsionnaya Street. It is likely that an improvised explosive device could have been used.

The man who died in the explosion in the Moscow residential complex had his face severely injured but is being identified. According to preliminary data, the victim of the explosion may be the bodyguard of Armen Nagapetovich Sargsyan, president of the DPR Boxing Federation and creator of the Arbat battalion. Sargsyan himself was injured and hospitalized.

Sargsyan has a head injury, contusion, and burns. His condition is assessed as serious. He is in a coma. Later it became known that Sargsyan died. The preliminary cause was a penetrating chest wound from a piece of shrapnel in the heart area.

In the first minutes after the explosion, local residents rushed to save him. They applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. Sargsyan's left leg was amputated.

In addition, one of the victims of the explosion in the Alye Parusa residential complex in Moscow is 49-year-old Oleg K., who is included in the Myrotvorets database.

This could be Oleg Kaspirovich, who used to be the deputy commander of a separate special forces unit of the Crimean Territorial Command of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He could have been Armen Sargsyan's bodyguard and could have been killed, but his identity has not yet been identified.

Eyewitnesses from a neighboring building said that a powerful explosion occurred at 9:45 a.m. in building No. 77. There is destruction in the entranceway, and the fire alarm went off in the other one.

The power of the explosive device planted in the residential complex was 300-400 grams of TNT equivalent.

The concierge of the entrance and four residents of the elite residential complex were injured, three of whom are in serious condition in intensive care.

The media, citing sources in law enforcement, reported that the concierge explained during interrogation that the explosion occurred when a resident of the building with security guards entered the lobby. He had seen the victim before, in particular, on TV.

According to the BAZA Telegram channel, the explosive device detonated in the elevator lobby. The place where it was planted is not yet known. The hall itself suffered significant damage.

All emergency services are at the scene of the incident. Doctors hospitalized the victims, and the Russian media named them:

  • 44-year-old Daria Karseladze (open neck wound, fractured bones of the right leg).
  • 41-year-old Sergey Shkryabatovsky, who was Sargsyan's bodyguard. He has an open fracture of the bones of his left leg.
  • Oleg Kaspirovich (Sargsyan's bodyguard) – lacerations of the fingers of the left hand, contusion of the left ear.
  • 50-year-old Igor Antonenko.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, a man from Irkutsk region, Oleksiy Badmayev, was sentenced to seven years in prison by the so-called "district military court" in a case of terrorist financing. The Russian made a donation to the Russian Volunteer Corps and also spoke out against the war online.
