Among all sedans, the Camry from the Japanese brand Toyota has been the most popular in the United States for more than a decade. And the updates it has received for the 2025 model year seem likely to only consolidate this advantage.

According to Motor1, the new Camry has become even better than it was in some ways. Thus, the redesign was successful, and the updated interior received some necessary technologies. In addition, the hybrid lineup has cemented the model's market advantage.

So under the hood of the updated Camry you can find the fifth-generation Toyota hybrid system, which combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a battery pack. The powertrain produces 225 horsepower with front-wheel drive and 232 horsepower with all-wheel drive. Fuel consumption ranges from 4.6 to 5.3 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.

Toyota's torque-voltage hybrid system, backed by a battery, provides the Camry with quick and smooth acceleration from a standstill. The four-cylinder engine has a high compression ratio of 14.0:1, which allows the Camry to maintain power at highway speeds. You won't have any problems overtaking.

Although the updated Camry is not a sports sedan, it has improved driving dynamics. The chassis is balanced, the suspension is compliant, and the steering is responsive. The only discomfort can come from the engine's hum, especially when you press the gas pedal hard. However, in general, the Camry is quiet, refined, and easy to drive. It was rated as a good choice for city driving.

Journalists tested the XSE modification. Its interior is covered in leather, and the seats are electrically operated and heated. For an additional fee, you can also get ventilated seats. The 12.3-inch digital instrument panel is located behind the steering wheel. An adjacent 12.3-inch touchscreen adorns the center of the dashboard.

The infotainment screen uses Toyota's latest interface, and it's something to be praised. It's concise and intuitive. The touchscreen demonstrates sensitivity on par with any modern smartphone. The Camry XSE also comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as wireless phone charging.

But the main visual advantage of the updated Camry is its exterior. Toyota has added bold design elements to the front end, such as huge grilles, angular horizontal vents, a sharp hood line, and curved headlights. At the rear, it also has curved taillights, a thin spoiler, and dual tailpipes, if we're talking about the XSE model.

Every Camry comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. This includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control at speeds above 30 km/h, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, and much more. However, you will have to pay extra for such benefits as adaptive cruise control with Stop-and-Go, as well as lane change assist and 360-degree camera. They are included in the Premium Plus package.

The base model of the Camry LE 2025 in the United States will cost $29,495, and the XSE will start at $35,695. For the Premium Plus package, you will have to pay another $4,075. In addition to the aforementioned safety features, it is also equipped with a JBL audio system with nine speakers, a panoramic glass roof, and other features. All-wheel drive costs another $1525, 19-inch wheels will cost $1500, and the front accent lighting package will cost another $399.
