Almost all Finnish companies have left the Russian market. Only two percent of export firms are still doing business in the aggressor country.
This was reported by Yle. Thus, after the start of Russia's large-scale war against Ukraine in early 2022, almost 80% of export companies have been operating in Russia.
At the same time, 18% of companies said they had faced some attempts to circumvent Russian sanctions. Requests for proposals came especially from Central Asian countries.
However, according to a recent survey of export managers conducted by the Chamber of Commerce, only 2% of Finnish export companies are still doing business in Russia.
The publication specified that the survey among export managers was conducted on October 24-27. About a hundred exporting companies responded to the survey.
As a reminder, the Danish brewing giant Carlsberg Group, which has severed all ties with Russia, said that the Kremlin simply stole its business in that country. The company refused to make any deals with the Russian authorities on principle, deciding to "arrest" the group's assets in the country.
As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, the United States imposed sanctions against the organizers of the transportation of Russian oil sold above the ceiling of $60 per barrel. Thus, all their property in the United States was blocked, and all related transactions carried out by persons in the United States in particular and within the country in general were prohibited. The purpose of this is to reduce Russia's oil revenues, which it relies on to wage war against Ukraine.
