Artificial intelligence generated faces that show the appearance of typical cheaters. The scandalous study was conducted through an online survey.

The aim of the study was to identify common features for such people. The results were then used as prompts for an artificial intelligence-based image generator to create a "photo-fit" image of a typical cheater, the NY Post reports.

The AI image showed a man in his 40s with gray-blue eyes, little or no hair, and wrinkles. Add to this small lips and a large nose, and you get the perfect image of a man cheating on his wife, according to the study.

As for the female cheater, according to the AI image, she is about fifty years old, has dark hair, a small nose and medium lips.

"Our research showed that just under half (41%) [of people] are familiar with this painful betrayal, so it may be that a lot identify with the characteristics in these images," said Rosie Maskel, senior marketing manager at the company that conducted the study.

However, it is possible that the profile of the male cheater was more accurate given the larger sample size. The study showed that men are much more likely to cheat than women: 35% of men admitted to cheating at least once before, compared to only 24% of women.
