Affordable Nissan and Honda models you should forget about: what they could be
The possible merger of Honda and Nissan into one corporation has attracted a lot of attention. But now, apparently, it's time to forget about it - the manufacturers failed to reach an agreement. Accordingly, jointly available models are also a thing of the past, although their future could be interesting.
Nissan now actually needs to be rescued. And such a scenario did not seem like the worst option against the backdrop of, for example, Chinese purchases. But, according to Motor1, the company has found another partner.
According to preliminary information, Honda has set quite tough conditions for Nissan to achieve high profits for the merger to take place at all. As an alternative, a full takeover was offered, but Nissan is not satisfied with this.
Apparently, Honda has stayed away.

Taiwanese tech giant Foxconn is a potential partner of Nissan for further cooperation. At the same time, the electronics manufacturer is reportedly ready to work together, but does not foresee an acquisition. More details are likely to emerge soon.
If the merger of Honda and Nissan were to take place, the new Nissan Qashqai and Honda ZR-V could become close relatives. The same could be true for the Honda Civic and Nissan Sentra.
