A train on a popular route was canceled in Ukraine: why it will no longer run
Train #191/192, which operated on a popular route between Kyiv and Lviv, will no longer run. The reason is that it was temporary and was scheduled to run only on November 2 and 4.
This was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia when announcing its trips. They emphasized that the train was launched due to high demand for tickets among passengers.
"We are finding opportunities to add seats in the direction of Lviv," the statement said.
At the same time, there was no information about new train dates. Nor were there any tickets available for the near future.
In general, the practice of "temporary" trains is quite common in Ukraine. Most often, the railroad launches them in connection with holidays or other important dates, when the demand for travel increases and the existing trains cannot cope with the passenger traffic.
Ukrzaliznytsia has changed the route of the Kyiv-Odesa train
At the same time, Ukrzaliznytsia is changing the route of train No. 148/147, which runs along the popular Odesa-Kyiv resort route. The reason is repair work on the railroad within Cherkasy region. Once the work begins, the train will bypass Cherkasy, Zolotonosha, Hrebinka, and Boryspil. The changes will be effective
- for trains departing from Odesa – from October 22 to December 3;
- for flights departing from Kyiv – from October 23 to December 4.
"Completion of repairs and return to previous schedules and routes is expected on December 5 from Odesa. And from December 6 – from Kyiv," the carrier said.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, traditionally, the sale of tickets for long-distance trains in Ukraine starts 20 days before the departure date. However, for some flights, ticket sales begin only 10 days before departure. The reason is the circumstances caused by the war.
