A train on a popular route has been made special: how much do tickets cost
Ukrzaliznytsia has a new – seventh – flagship train. It is the No. 95/96 Kyiv – Rakhiv, which is called the Hutsulshchyna. Tickets in its compartment for the March 10 flight from Kyiv cost 780 UAH.
This was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia itself. They noted that the list of guaranteed options for the Hutsulshchyna will include:
- new (released after 2021) or modernized cars with vacuum toilets without closing to sanitary zones, air conditioners, sockets, lighting control, sockets in the compartment;
- restrooms with soap dispensers and toilet seat covers brought up to modern standards;
- brand name and logo based on the history of the train and route.
In addition, it is noted that other amenities may be available as an option. In particular:
- additional security elements such as video surveillance in the car corridor, sound alarms and panic buttons in the compartment;
- changing tables in some new cars and mobile playpens for children;
- an inclusive car with ramps as part of the train;
- A game library on board.
How much do tickets for the new flagship train cost?
Train #95/96 Kyiv – Rakhiv departs from Kyiv at 19.57. Arrival in Rakhiv is at 09:50.
Departure from Rakhiv is at 19:43. Arrival in Kyiv is at 10:01.
For the flight on March 10 from Kyiv, tickets are sold for reserved seats, compartments, suites, and women's compartments. They cost:
- for reserved seats – 425 UAH;
- in a compartment – 760 UAH;
- in a suite – UAH 1,833;
- for a women's compartment – UAH 760.

What does flagship train mean?
Flagship trains are trains consisting of cars manufactured after 2021 or modernized with the addition of modern amenities. Except for Hutsulshchyna, they are:
- 15/16 Kharkiv – Yasinia "Les Kurbas";
- 17/18 Kharkiv – Uzhhorod "Skovoroda";
- 79/80 Dnipro – Lviv "Sicheslav";
- No. 91/92 Kyiv – Lviv "Leopolis";
- 105/106 Kyiv – Odesa Chornomorets;
- No. 7/8 Kyiv – Chernivtsi Bukovyna.
"The flagship trains are marked in the Ukrzaliznytsia app with a special mark for easy search when buying tickets," the carrier said.
