It's no secret that visiting a theme park is on the vacation to-do list of many travelers. And next year, a new theme park will open in the Netherlands for fans of such leisure, offering a huge amount of entertainment on a giant area.

According to The Sun, the Bommelwereld location in the city of Groenlo will open in 2025. Its area will be 9000 square meters and this territory will house a real castle, which will be called Bommelstein.

The construction of the location was announced in 2022. The park is a joint project of Marveld Recreatie and Jora Vision designers. The rides are based on the works of the Dutch animator Maarten Toonder. There will be 20 of them in total.

One of the main attractions will be the family ride Bulder Baan, a 257-meter-long roller coaster capable of reaching speeds of up to 45 km/h. There will also be a mini-slide Razende Rommel, which will be 4 meters high, a Daverend Draken Spektakel ride, as well as a swinging carousel and a themed port area.

Jora Vision's creative director Sjors van Roosmalen promises visitors to the park a special vacation experience. The location was built from scratch and the park's authors will be very interested to show how they went from the first drawings to the opening and demonstrate an unusual set of attractions.

The Netherlands has the largest number of theme parks, amusement parks, and festivals per capita. Therefore, new facilities are not opened here as often, and it can be quite difficult to surprise guests. However, the creators of Bommelwereld promise that even the most demanding visitors will enjoy their creation.

The official opening date and ticket prices for the new park have not yet been announced. To get to Grunlo, you will need to take a two-hour journey from Amsterdam or Eindhoven.
