Italian club Juventus attacking midfielder Kenan Yildiz scored the first goal of the Champions League in the 2024/2025 season. The 19-year-old Turkish national team player scored in the home game of the 1st round against the Dutch PSV.
In the 21st minute, the Italians tried to organize a counterattack. PSV thwarted it, but Juventus kept the ball and got Yildiz. The young Turk did not share it with anyone, moved to the center and from 15 meters out made the score 1-0 with a gorgeous roundhouse kick.
At 19 years and 136 days old, Yildiz became Juventus' youngest ever Champions League goal scorer, surpassing the legendary Alessandro Del Piero, who was 20 years and 308 days old.
