Long road trips in a comfortable van - who hasn't dreamed of this at least once in their life? And in Germany, just such a car has been put up for sale.

According to Carscoop magazine, traveling in a van has become very fashionable today, and this has led to the emergence of incredibly expensive stylish models from several companies. And this is exactly what the Mercedes-Benz LA 1113 B Variomobil made in 1974 is. Journalists have even called it perhaps the most hipster version of van living ever.

Underneath its ridiculously square shape is a reliable 5.7-liter direct-injection diesel engine mated to a 12-speed transmission. The description of the van says that this powerplant produces about 187 horsepower, which transmits motion to all four wheels. It also has a locking rear differential to overcome difficult terrain.

But what makes this vehicle truly special is the Variomobil body. Its living area is equipped with a kitchen with a sink and gas stove. The vehicle has a comfortable seating area with two orthopedic mattresses, a bathroom with a built-in shower, a TV, a refrigerator and plenty of storage space.

The exterior of the camper van is equipped with a bike rack, an additional fuel tank, two different towing devices, and three 180-watt solar panels. It also has an awning and a watering can for outdoor showering. There are even a few external speakers that can play music from the van's stereo system.

The van's fuel tank holds 450 liters of gasoline. The fresh water tank has a capacity of 300 liters, which also includes a 200-liter waste water tank. The van has space for a pair of 11-kilogram propane tanks. The model is also equipped with built-in navigation and Wi-Fi. That is, it is really well suited for vacationing away from civilization.

This amazing van is located in Germany, but it can be taken to most countries legally. However, the cost of such a pleasure is quite high. You'll have to pay 149,000 euros for it, which is about $162,000.
