On the night of May 14, a freight train caught fire and derailed in the Volgograd region of Russia, which was allegedly attacked by drones. A total of nine cars carrying fuel and lumber overturned.
The so-called accident occurred around 01:00 near the Kotluban station, and in the morning, photos and videos from the scene began to appear online. The propagandists claimed that there were no casualties.
It is noteworthy that at first they said that the accident was caused by "interference from unauthorized persons." Later, they pointed to a drone, but without specifying whether it was an arrival or the work of Russian air defense.
Russian Telegram channels report that the drone attack caused two fuel cars to catch fire and one tanker to explode. After that, fuel spilled and the grass caught fire.
"A total of nine train cars derailed. The fire has been localized, but it has not yet been completely extinguished," the propagandists admitted.
The Crimean Wind Telegram channel reported that after a drone attack, two railroad cars with fuel and lumber caught fire at the Kotluban station. The fire was confirmed by satellite images.
As OBOZ.UA reported, on the night of March 12, UAVs attacked the Volgograd refinery again. Explosions were heard there again, followed by a fire.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine confirmed its involvement in this "cotton". It is known that that night, GUR drones also hit an oil depot and a metallurgical plant, legitimate military targets on the territory of the Russian Federation.
