Zob Akhan's central defender Fariborz Gerami scored a phenomenal goal in the 27th round of the Pro League (Iran's top football division). The 31-year-old managed to hit the Peykan goal with a long-range shot.

In the 42nd minute, Gerami received a pass in the center circle and saw the goalkeeper of the visitors far out of position. The Zob Akhan player did not hesitate to shoot towards the goal, leaving the goalkeeper no chance.

This goal proved to be the only and winning goal of the game. In the 79th minute, the hosts won a penalty kick, but striker Mohsen Azarpad missed the shot.

Zob Ahan is in fifth place in the Iranian league standings (42 points). Peykan is the penultimate, 15th (27 points).
