On the morning of June 28, a drone allegedly attacked an oil depot in the Michurinsky district of Tambov region of the Russian Federation. The Russians claimed that it was "Ukrainian" and exploded on the territory of the enterprise, creating a "small" fire.

However, they later posted a video on their public pages with footage of a drone flying over the region and the sounds of shooting at it. They also showed the consequences of the damage to the oil depot, which turned out to be in the village of Novomyilske.

According to the propagandists, the explosion occurred at about 04:35 on Friday.

"A fire broke out at the scene. Emergency services are currently working," they wrote.

The governor of the Tambov region, Maxim Yegorov, confirmed this fact, assuring that "there were no casualties."

The propagandists claimed the fire was small, but the official said in his speech that it was being extinguished by the oil depot fire department and 11 fire brigades of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. They have allegedly localized the fire.

He added that the distance from the oil depot to the nearest settlement is 3 km, so if necessary, residents will be evacuated.

At the same time, eyewitnesses claim in videos posted online that three UAVs flew towards the oil depot in the Michurinsky district. Local soldiers fired at them with small arms and pursued them with helicopters. As a result, the facility was damaged: according to the Russians, the iron fence was "completely destroyed," buildings were "smashed," tanks were burning, and a crowd of people were standing at the gate because no one was allowed in.

Later, the media found out the details of the attack. According to them, a hub station of the main oil product pipelines was attacked this morning in the Tambov region of the Russian Federation. In particular, a drone hit an oil tank at the Mykilske linear production and dispatch station of Transnefteproduct in the village of Novomykilske.
