Kharkiv native Fedir Cherkashyn (26-1, 16 KOs), who fights for Poland, won a spectacular victory at a boxing event in Newark, New Jersey, USA. The 29-year-old WBC International middleweight champion knocked out Ghanaian fighter Patrick Allotey (44-8, 34 KOs).

From the very beginning of the fight, Cherkashyn seized the initiative, demonstrating superiority in technique and speed. In the opening round, he knocked Allotey down with a powerful left hook.

Later, the situation repeated itself: a series of accurate punches led to the Ghanaian boxer's second knockdown.

In the third round, Cherkashyn continued to apply pressure and after another combination of punches, Alotey found himself on the ring floor for the third time. The referee then stopped the fight, awarding Cherkashyn a technical knockout victory.

This victory was Fedir Cherkashyn's 26th in his professional career and 16th by knockout.

After the fight, Cherkashyn said that he had carefully studied his opponent's style and was prepared for his strengths, such as speed and experience. He emphasized that the plan for the fight was to apply constant pressure and exploit Allotey's weaknesses in defense.
