A 5-year-old child was wounded in a Russian terrorist attack on Kyiv region on Saturday, January 25. In addition, high-rise buildings and cars were damaged in two districts of the region.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv regional police. Residents of the region were once again urged not to ignore the air raid alert.

"Unfortunately, a 5-year-old child was injured. She was hospitalized. The victim's life and health are currently not in danger," the press service said.

The KOVA reported that the girl, born in 2019, was diagnosed with a stab wound to the neck. She was provided with the necessary medical care at the regional children's hospital and her condition is satisfactory. There are no indications for hospitalization.

The police added that as of 12:20 a.m., 18 apartments in three multi-storey buildings were damaged in two districts of Kyiv region, including the town of Vyshneve. Also, 13 cars were damaged.

Criminal proceedings have been opened over war crimes under Article 438, part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – the perpetrators face up to 12 years in prison.

As OBOZ.UA reported, Russian occupation forces attacked Kyiv region with attack drones on the morning of Friday, January 24. As a result of falling debris in two settlements, fires broke out in a ten-story building and a private house: three people died and one was injured.
