The 2nd stage of the Biathlon World Cup of the 2023/2024 season started on Friday, December 8. The competition in Hochfilzen, Austria, includes three disciplines: sprint, pursuit and relay.

"Surrounded by dazzling snowy peaks in winter and green mountain meadows in summer, the Hochfilzen Biathlon Stadium is one of the oldest in the world. But, despite this, it is also one of the most modern stadiums where the World Cup stages are held," the IBU official website says.

The stadium is located above the village of Hochfilzen, where you can see completely different terrains of the track, which is in close proximity to the shooting range.
