With the onset of cold weather, it has long been customary to put salt on the windowsill. This life hack became indispensable with the beginning of the heating season in the fight against excess moisture.

And everything is explained very simply. Salt helps eliminate condensation when water starts to drip off the glass during the day. High humidity is one of the main causes of mold in homes during the fall and winter.

This year, Russian shelling of critical infrastructure has resulted in not only power outages but also heat and water outages. More and more Ukrainians have started complaining about mold in their apartments and houses.

Therefore, it is worth trying to pour salt into a small container and place it on the windowsills. It will absorb excess moisture, and condensation will not settle on the glass.

However, it is worth remembering that the filler should be changed regularly. Once every 2-3 days will be enough.
