When daylight saving time is set in 2024: where to turn the hands
On the night of March 31, the clocks will be reset to daylight saving time. The main reason for this is to make efficient use of daylight hours and reduce energy consumption.
The Verkhovna Rada has repeatedly tried to cancel the change of clocks, but this issue remains uncertain. Read about the peculiarities of daylight saving time in the OBOZ.UA article.
When to switch to daylight saving time
Daylight saving time is set annually on the last Sunday of March at 3 am.
The clocks go forward 1 hour in March and back 1 hour on the last Sunday of October.
In fact, on March 31, after 3:00 am , it will be 4:00 am, and we will sleep an hour less.
The clocks on smartphones, laptops, tablets, and other gadgets switch to daylight saving time automatically, as manufacturers set the synchronization by default. When the device is connected to the network, it synchronizes with the time servers on its own. Only ordinary watches, alarm clocks, and mechanical devices will have to be set manually.
The nuances of the conversion
There is a theory that such time jumps have a negative impact on the body. In particular, biorhythms disruptions can lead to poor health and reduced performance, headaches, and exacerbation of chronic diseases. The transition to winter time is usually perceived more easily than to summer time, as it gives you the opportunity to sleep an hour longer.
Doctors suggest adjusting your sleep schedule a week before the changeover. In addition, you should take more walks in the fresh air and, if possible, avoid severe stress.
You should also pay attention to your diet. It would be better to exclude fatty and spicy foods from the diet, you can eat some dark chocolate, but reduce the number of cakes and pastries and consume more vegetables and fruits.
OBOZ.UA also reported that alcohol and caffeine have a negative impact on the nervous system and can increase the stress of changing the clock.
