First of all, you need to take care of fruit trees. They need special protection from rodents and frost. Mice like to chew on the bark, so as soon as there is a stable snow cover, you should trample the snow around the tree trunks. Firstly, it will protect the trees, and secondly, it will prevent mice from digging underground passages, and therefore from getting close to your winter crops.

Cuttings should be prepared in advance. December is ideal for buying cuttings of currants, apple trees, etc. Pay attention to the thickness of the cuttings: they should be no thinner than a pencil. In addition, they should have well-developed buds.

Stratify the seeds. Select those that need to be stratified and put them in the refrigerator. Wrap the planting material in a damp cloth in advance and maintain the humidity with moderate spraying regularly.
