What dreams signal problems in relationships: experts named the top 5

We forget most of our dreams immediately upon awakening. But if you often have the same dream or a systematic repetition of certain images or events, experts advise to be wary.

Professional dream analyst Lauri Levenberg says that the subconscious images can signal about the problems. Which dreams hint at trouble in a personal relationship, told the publication Best Life.

Dreams about betrayal or deceit

Dreams in which you are deceived can mean that you "are dealing with a certain feeling of being abandoned or betrayed in reality," Levenberg notes. The expert advises pondering, "why do you feel like you're constantly being tried to cheat?"

You should check how you feel about cheating in a dream. "If you don't feel guilty in the dream, then ask yourself how often your partner expresses dissatisfaction and complaints about your actions," Levenberg emphasized.

Dreams about exes coming back

If you constantly dream about an ex-partner, it may mean that you are still experiencing emotions from that relationship. Lawless also notes that it may signal that you are preoccupied with repeating history.

"Our dreams often come from the past. We need that so we can compare it to the present and determine if we're moving forward or if we're stuck in past anxieties," Levenberg said.

Joyce Keller, psychic and author, pointed out that such dreams are not at all an urgent call to remind exes of themselves.

If you have a dream where you and your partner are driving somewhere together in a car, you should pay attention to who is behind the wheel, what condition the car is in, and how it drives.

Car breakdowns also signal a negative behavior pattern in your relationship. If the car won't start or is stuck, your relationship may also be at a standstill, Levenberg said.

If you are frequently attacked by aggressive dogs in your dream, it is highly likely a signal that your relationship is toxic. A sick dog is a symbol of the end of a relationship.

Cats usually symbolize passion and energy. Levenberg explained by analogy that a sick cat is a signal of lack of desire and passion, and an angry animal is a warning of abusive behavior.
