Video of the first minutes after a rocket hit an apartment building in Kyiv has appeared

On the night of June 24, Russian forces launched a massive air attack on Ukraine, targeting Kyiv most of all. The defenders of the skies shot down more than 20 enemy targets over the capital, but their debris snagged a high-rise building in the Solomensky district, causing destruction and casualties.
The first to arrive to the residents' aid were the capital's patrol police officers, the Interior Ministry said. This moment was caught on video from the law enforcers' bib cameras (to view it, scroll to the end of the news).
It is noted that patrol officers together with rescuers helped to unlock people from under the rubble, evacuated citizens from destroyed houses and escorted them to a safe place.
The footage shows law enforcers running to the damaged apartment building. With flashlights in the darkness, making their way into the apartments between the debris scattered around the building structures and belongings, they shouted to see if anyone was alive there.
In some cases, they had to break down damaged doors and push structures to get to people.
"Get people out, come on!", "Get out!", "Watch out!", "Are you there?" - "Yes," "Push from the other side!", "Throw it," "Up? Now come down carefully," "Good night, thank you!" - Law enforcement officers and residents echoed.
The police urged citizens not to ignore air-raid alarms and to stay close to places of shelter.
"Take care of yourself and your family. We are always around and ready to help," law enforcement officials added.
