US volunteers Edward Walter Wilton and Grady Kurpasi killed in the fighting for Ukraine
Two US volunteers, Edward Walter Wilton and Grady Kurpasi, were killed in the war in Ukraine, fighting against the Russian invaders. The information about the first of the Heroes was confirmed by the State Department.
This was reported by the Daily Beast. Out of respect for Wilton's family, a State Department spokesperson did not disclose any details of the soldier's death.
The death of US Marine Corps veteran Kurpasi was reported on the GoFundMe fundraising platform. It was noted that the soldier went to train soldiers, but due to the intensity of the war and the need for experienced leaders, Grady eventually led a squad into battle and was killed.
Earlier, a soldier from Georgia, Arsen Ketzbai, was killed in action against the Russian occupiers. In recent years, the defender of Ukraine lived in our country. Since the beginning of Russia's large-scale invasion on February 24 last year, more than 40 Georgian citizens and natives of Ukraine have been killed in the fighting for Ukraine.
Also in March, three volunteers from Poland gave their lives for Ukraine in one week. All three died as a result of severe injuries sustained in eastern Ukraine during enemy artillery shelling.
Another volunteer from Poland, who was seriously injured, was transported to Kyiv.

- a volunteer from France, who fought in the ranks of the International Legion of Territorial Defence of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, was also killed in action for Ukraine. He became the eighth citizen of his country to die in the battle against the Russian aggressor.
