Ukrainian boxer Bovar Gladiator Khanakov defeated US representative Isaac Freeman at the BYB 13 tournament (bare-knuckle fighting). The 5-round fight in Florida ended with a unanimous decision in favour of the 28-year-old native of Mariupol.

Immediately after his victory, the Ukrainian appealed to the world community to stop the war.

"My dream was to fight in the United States. But I am broken today and I am in great pain because the Russian Federation is killing my countrymen. Please, if you can, stop the war. Our people will never give up. We are fighting for freedom. I know that the United States supports our country. Thank you for that. Help my compatriots survive," Khanakov said.

After the full-scale invasion, Bovar lived for some time in occupied Mariupol, where he volunteered. After moving to the US, he continued to raise funds for Ukrainians affected by Russian aggression.

Immediately after the meeting in Florida, Khanakov put his winning medal up for charity auction. The initial price of the lot was $300. All the money will go to volunteers.
