The 24-year-old wife of an occupier who is fighting against Ukraine killed her nine-month-old son in Volgograd, Russia. She left the baby alone in the apartment. Four days later his grandmother found him dead. The grief-stricken mother confessed that she deliberately committed the murder. The father was urgently summoned from the "special operation".

Details of the gruesome story were told by the Russian media. According to neighbors, the young couple moved into a new apartment about a year ago, they are not locals. It is known that the woman has two more children from another marriage. They are 3 and 5 years old.

The husband is a military man in the Russian army fighting against Ukraine. Neighbors last saw him during a vacation in May, when the couple went for a walk with a stroller. Then he left again.

The other day a terrible odor appeared in the building. It was thought that it was a dump nearby but later turned out that it was a dead baby.

The Russian woman left the child alone in the apartment on August 3. He was alone and no one fed him or took care of him. The boy was found dead by his grandmother on August 7, who had not been warned.

"The last time I was here (at home. - Ed.) on the 3rd of this month. I fed him and went to work," the wife of the occupant said on the way to the department. When asked whether she did not appear at home anymore, she said that she "coudn't do it as no transport was available".

The woman does not work anywhere. Neighbors do not know what she was doing. They say that almost nobody saw her, but they often heard loud music from her apartment.

"She only goes to the store for beer and back. We hardly ever see her. Her music is always loud ike there's some kind of party. We haven't seen any big companies, just one friend. The music is at full volume every day. We listen to it 24 hours a day, it's like a drum. How did the child even live there?" they said.

None of the neighbors even hear the crying of the child, but the corpse smell appeared suspiciously fast. Therefore, residents suspect that the child may have been killed or died in an accident before his mother left.

The suspect's social media accounts include photos of children from her first marriage, but not her nine-month-old son. There are also many quotes about the happiness of motherhood.

A criminal case has been opened against the woman. At the first interrogation, she admitted that she "went on vacation, fed him one last time and that's it". When asked why she left the child, she replied, "to kill him."

Russian investigators will insist on her arrest and intend to demand the deprivation of parental rights to two other children, who now live with the mother of the detainee.
