According to propaganda blogs, the explosion and bright flash made the hands of residents of settlements near Moscow tremble.
Russians complained that the "deafening clap" made them jump out of bed, and some even managed to see the orange "lightning" and the way car alarms went off afterwards. Everything happened at about 04:21, this moment was caught on video from surveillance cameras.
Later, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the Russian capital had been subjected to a "drone attack".
"Today, air defense forces in the Lyuberets area destroyed a drone flying towards Moscow. Preliminarily, there are no casualties or damage. Emergency services are working at the scene of the incident," he assured.
This time, the Russian Defense Ministry counted three "Ukrainian" drones that wanted to "attack" objects on Russian territory. According to the ministry, at first two UAVs were "destroyed" by on-duty air defense assets over the territory of the Bryansk region.
Later, at around 04:30, the propagandists claim, another drone was "destroyed" by air defense means in the air over the territory of the Lyuberetsky district of Moscow Region.
It is noteworthy that a few hours before, the "Carpet" plan was introduced in the capital's airport "Vnukovo": flights for departure and arrival were temporarily delayed. The reception and release of flights at Domodedovo airport was also suspended.
At the same time, ASTRA, which calls itself a Russian publication of independent journalists, writes that the UAV in Lyubertsy was shot down just 5 kilometers from the Mikhail Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant. According to residents, the drone "fell" near Korenevo (Kraskovo), while the plant is located in Tomilino.
It is noted that the enterprise is engaged in development and research work, design, construction and testing of prototype helicopters.
"Specialists of the Mil Plant supervise the introduction of new models and modifications of Mi helicopters into serial production, provide support for the operation of civil and military helicopters," the publication emphasized.
