Spectacular photos of the morning landscapes of the Ukrainian Carpathians have been posted online. On March 27, the highlands are still covered with snow.

The pictures of the Pip Ivan peak in the Chornahora range were shared by the Telegram channel of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. The author of the photos is mountain rescuer Vasyl Fitsak.

"Spring morning breathes an early chill. The play of colors in the highlands of the Ukrainian Carpathians is mesmerizing," wrote the State Emergency Service.

The building of the former "White Elephant" Astronomical and Meteorological Observatory, which is located on Chorna Hora, is captured in the frame.

Ukrainian rescuers have warned that snow may remain on the mountain tops until summer. "Therefore, if you are planning to go hiking, take into account the weather forecast and make sure that you are safe to climb!" the press service emphasized.
