Russian proxy forces have been trying to occupy Bakhmut in the Donetsk region for a long time. Fierce battles continue in the city, and Ukrainian defenders are giving a worthy response to Putin's invaders.

In a few days, the Special Operation Forces eliminated an enemy company and shot down an enemy "bird". The corresponding video was published by the press service of the Special Operations Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Thus, Ukrainian defenders continue to thin out the ranks of the Russian occupation forces and courageously defend Bakhmut.

"One of the units eliminated at least an enemy company and an Orlan-10 UAV during several days of fighting in this area," the SSO noted.

It is emphasised that Putin's army is rebuffed at every attempt to advance.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the commander of the Land Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, considers the situation in Bakhmut to be difficult. According to him, Wagner's assault units are advancing in several directions, trying to break through our defences and advance into the city centre.

Earlier, Syrsky said that Ukrainian defenders in Bakhmut are disrupting the enemy's plans. A counter-offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this area is not far off, the commander noted.

He also explained that the defence of Bakhmut allows the Ukrainian Armed Forces to gain time to accumulate reserves and prepare for attacks. Meanwhile, the aggressor is suffering heavy losses in the battle for the city.

Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Butusov showed a video from Bakhmut - the occupiers have turned it into a ghost town with their shelling.
