NASA and the State Space Agency of Ukraine have signed a joint statement aimed at promoting cooperation between the parties in the field of peaceful space, communications and navigation. The ceremony took place in Washington, DC, at the headquarters of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

This was announced by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova. This has opened up new opportunities for Ukraine's aerospace industry and expanded cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in the field of civilian space, communications and navigation (to see the photo, scroll to the end).

"Another positive result in the area that inspires us - Space. Today in Washington, DC, at the headquarters of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, a ceremony was held to sign a Joint Statement between NASA and the State Space Agency of Ukraine," the ambassador wrote on her Facebook page on Friday evening.

The embassy representative stressed that Bill Nelson, NASA Administrator, who is currently in Washington with the Ukrainian delegation, as well as Volodymyr Mikheyev, Deputy Chairman of the State Space Agency of Ukraine, together with Ihor Fomenko, Deputy Minister of Economy, took another step towards new opportunities for the Ukrainian space industry and expanding cooperation between Ukraine and the United States.

As a result of these efforts, the partnership between Ukraine and the United States in the areas of civil space, communications and navigation, as well as the International Space Station and other areas, will be strengthened and expanded.
