Stakhovsky is fighting against the occupiers

Formerly famous Ukrainian tennis player Sergiy Stakhovsky, who joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces after Russia's full-scale invasion began, posted pictures from the hottest spot on the frontline. Sergiy visited Bakhmut and took pictures in a bombed-out school.

Stakhovsky is captured against the backdrop of a blackboard with traces of the last peaceful day. The inscription "23 February" seems to demonstrate the time that has stopped.

"We will never forgive the stolen childhood," Stakhovsky wrote.

Earlier, Stakhovsky left a vivid message for pro-Russian propagandist Anatoliy Shariy. On his Instagarm, Stakhovsky sent greetings "from sunny "Budapest" in Donetsk Oblast to "Barcelona Tolik".

Shariy and Stakhovsky

At the end of June, Stakhovsky and Dolgopolov visited the front line in the Donetsk region, where they handed over the money they had raised as donations to Ukrainian soldiers. In the autumn, both athletes joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces and went to fight at the front.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Dolgopolov, who went to fight against the Russian occupiers just 18 months after the official announcement of his retirement, told how things are really going on at the front.
