On Sunday night, May 20, a fire broke out on the roof of a multi-storey residential building in Kyiv as a result of the fall of the wreckage of a downed kamikaze drone. As a result, damage was found in 4 apartments.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv State Emergency Service. Residents of the capital were once again urged not to ignore the danger warnings (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).


"Last night, on May 20, the enemy made another attack on Kyiv. Preliminary, the fall of debris was recorded in the Dniprovskyi, Solomianskyi, Pecherskyi and Darnytskyi districts. Rescuers extinguished a fire in the Dnipro district of the capital on the roof of a 9-storey residential building. The rescue service received a call at 1:22 am. The fire was extinguished at 4:06 a.m. over a total area of 80 square metres. Damage was found in 4 apartments," the press service said.


The SES added that there were no fires at other addresses. There were no casualties or injuries as a result of these incidents.

The air defence forces shot down the enemy targets, but the falling debris caused a fire and a number of damages in several districts of the capital.
