Russians are left without quality batteries: Duracell announces its withdrawal from Russia - media

Duracell, a global leader in high-performance alkaline and speciality batteries, is leaving the terrorist country of Russia. The company has stopped supplying batteries and other products to Russia.
This was reported by a major Russian online news outlet. As noted, Duracell products from a plant in Belgium have stopped arriving in Russia.
"The company confirmed to us that the fateful decision to leave was made by the shareholders. They ordered to terminate all existing contracts unilaterally, sell off stocks, pay off staff, and send sad letters of regret and gratitude to partners for the opportunity to make money in Russia," the report said.
Duracell is a brand of household batteries manufactured by the American multinational company Procter & Gamble. It produces batteries of the main sizes, such as AAA, AA, C, D, 9-volt battery, commonly referred to as "Krona", as well as CMOS for motherboards (CR2032).
Earlier it became known that the owner of the Leroy Merlin construction chain, the French ADEO group, plans to sell all its stores in Russia. The Russian company is expected to be transferred to local management.
This was reported by ADEO itself. They noted that the change of ownership will not affect the business, nor will it change relations with partners and customers and will save all jobs.
As OBOZREVATEL previously wrote, Alibaba Group, the main shareholder of one of the largest marketplaces in Russia, Aliexpress Russia, refused to invest in the development of the project. Moreover, other shareholders of the company followed suit. After that, Aliexpress Russia carried out a massive staff reduction, laying off hundreds of employees.
