The series " Wednesday," which has become a record-breaker on the streaming platform Netflix, was filmed in Romania. In particular, Cantacuzino Castle was chosen for the main scenes of the outcast academy "Nevermore". It can be visited for a mind-bogglingly low price of only 270 hryvnias.

Cantacuzino is located in the Romanian Carpathians, namely in the town of Busteni. In the series, many elements of the castle were added in the montage with the help of graphics.
The area of the estate is 3,148 square meters. It was built on the land of the Cantacuzins' hunting lodge over a period of about 10 years.
The Cantacuzino was completed in 1911. At one time it was the summer home of the aristocrat and politician Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino.
The location was designed by the architect Grigore Cherchez. The estate has four pavilions and original arcaded balconies. It is these that can be seen in the series.
The estate is surrounded by gardens, which are a watchtower, a patio and stone alleys. The latter lead to the family church. It also has several fountains.
During World War II, the castle was nationalized. Then all of its original furniture, works of art, and lighting fixtures were looted. Until 1989 it served as a hospital, and after the overthrow of socialist Romanian President Nicolae Ceausescu, the castle returned to the great-granddaughter of Prince Ioanna Cantacuzino.
The Daily Mail writes that German lawyer and developer Kurt Neuschitzer bought Cantacuzino in 2008 with the intention of turning it into a golf and ski resort. But the local government has not yet given him permission. It is known that Neuchitzer has already spent $ 3.1 million on restoration of the castle. In particular, he installed there new electrical, plumbing and heating systems.
Thus, while the castle is a tourist attraction. It has an art gallery - works by Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh and Henri Matisse have already been shown. The castle also has a restaurant and a park.
