Putin signs decree on the start of the autumn conscription to the Russian army: how much "meat" they want to recruit

Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on the start of the fall conscription to the Russian army. The draft will begin on October 1.

A total of 130 thousand people are to be drafted. This was reported by Russian propagandists, who published the relevant document.

According to the decree, the autumn conscription will last from October to December. The occupation army is going to recruit 130 thousand people.

It is worth noting that the Russian Ministry of Defense has stated that the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces does not plan to conduct additional mobilization to wage war against Ukraine.

At the same time, it will only be in favor if "willing" conscripts sign contracts and go to the "conscript service" afterwards. The Ministry will also be happy to see "volunteers" in the ranks of its invading army.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that they have "significantly increased" the number of citizens who "voluntarily enlist" in military service under contract in the Russian Armed Forces. In order to "formalize" them in a timely manner, the department has even expanded the network of so-called contractor selection points. Russians are recruited for a contract with the Russian army in "close cooperation with state authorities" in different regions.

Earlier, the Institute of War Studies reported that the second wave of mobilization of reserves before the six-month autumn draft starts in Russia on October 1. The analysts emphasized that this is one of the Kremlin's ways to encourage or force Russians to sign "voluntary" contracts with the Russian Armed Forces.
