Sophia ZakrevskaLife
Magnetic storms forecast for April

The second month of this spring will begin with a medium-sized magnetic storm. It will begin on April 1 and last for two days, until April 2 inclusive. In total, several weak and one strong magnetic storm are forecast for April.

This is reported by the weather website Meteoagent. It should be noted that forecasts for magnetic storms are calculated using NOAA and TESIS satellite systems and scientific international meteorological laboratories around the world.

After that, from 3 to 9 April, the Sun should be relatively calm, so no significant disturbances in the Earth's magnetic field should be expected.

On April 10 and 11, as well as on April 16 and 17, magnetic storms of medium strength are expected again (their strength, as at the beginning of the month, will be four points).

A strong magnetic storm will hit the Earth on April 20 and 21. According to the forecast, its strength will reach six points. It should be noted that a solar eclipse will also occur on 20 April.

After that, no further events are predicted, but it should be remembered that this data is approximate, as sometimes changes in the Sun can be a surprise even for scientists.

As you know, a magnetic storm is a perturbation of our planet's geomagnetic field. They are caused by streams of charged particles ejected by the Sun.

During periods of storms, weather-dependent people, pregnant women, the elderly and those with chronic illnesses should be particularly attentive to their health. They may feel worse at this time.

Earlier, we explained what magnetic storms are and how they occur. Read more about it in our article.
