As the puzzle is so complex and has so many nuances, there is no time limit. Search for the hidden dog as long as it takes to achieve the result.
Some players solve such puzzles by looking at the whole picture in search of inconsistencies. You can try this approach, but it's unlikely to work because the picture is really complicated.
Another tip is to divide the image into several sectors in your mind and scan each one separately. This way, it will be easier for you to focus on the details.
