No, it's not magic: how to easily remove wine stains from any fabric

Wine stains are considered to be among the most persistent, especially when it comes to red wine. Its pigment is really capable of staining fabrics and quickly penetrating fibers.

People have tried all sorts of ways to remove wine stains. And, of course, they have come up with some effective life hacks. As OBOZ.UA found out, a very effective recipe was shared by social media users.

To prepare a product that will wash away traces of wine, you will need pharmacy hydrogen peroxide and dishwashing liquid. Mix them in a 3:1 ratio.

Apply the mixture to the wine stain with a paper towel or cotton pad. The main thing is not to rub the wine stain, so as not to rub it deeper into the fibers. The product is left to act from 20 minutes to an hour. After that, the remnants of the mixture are removed from the fabric with another paper towel. You need to collect as much as possible so that the item is almost dry in the end.

The last stage of stain removal is washing. The treated item should be sent to the machine and washed on the most suitable program but at a low temperature. Hot water can make wine residues in the fabric more stubborn. When the wash cycle is complete, there should be no trace of the stain.

Additional tips for removing wine stains

The sooner you start cleaning, the better the stain will be removed. Immediately blot the red wine with a napkin or paper towel.

Do not rub wine stains or treat them with hot water. When all the moisture is removed, sprinkle salt on the stained area of the garment. After a while, shake off the salt and treat the stain with a stain remover suitable for the type of fabric.

Machine dry or iron the item only when you are sure that the stain has completely disappeared. If it is not, repeat the cleaning process with all the precautions and nuances.
