Moscow claimed another UAV attack.

On the night of Saturday, August 26, all Moscow airports stopped accepting and sending planes again, with the usual "Carpet" plan being introduced. Local authorities said that the capital of the aggressor country had been attacked by drones, while the Russian Defense Ministry boasted that it had shot down one drone over the Moscow region.

Explosions were heard in the Istrinsky district of Moscow. Russian propaganda channels published videos showing a drone flying over, a loud explosion and a bright flash (to see the video, scroll to the end of the page).

Russians threw a tantrum over the new attack on Moscow online.

"Istra district, Monolit cottage village. The sound of whistling and an explosion was heard!", "A powerful sound, I live in Istra. It was heard at 3:02", "Explain what happened! I don't understand anything", "There's a drone in the Moscow region!", "Why don't they write that the airspace above Moscow is closed? We have been waiting to take off from Sheremetyevo for two hours!", "I woke up to explosions", and "Two shots were heard", users wrote.

Later, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported on the alleged shooting down of a UAV near the capital of the aggressor country.

"Tonight air defense forces destroyed a drone on the approach to Moscow in the Istrinsky district. Preliminarily there are no casualties and destruction. Emergency services are working at the scene," Sobyanin said.

At the same time, airports are delaying planes for reception and departure. Russian media reports that at least 24 flights have been delayed and eight canceled at Moscow's Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo airports.

On the morning of August 26, the Russian Defense Ministry traditionally reported on the "suppression of the attack."

"On August 26 at about 03:00, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack by an airplane-type UAV on objects on the territory of Moscow and the Moscow region was foiled. The unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed over the territory of the Istrinsky district of the Moscow region by the air defense forces on duty," the agency headed by Sergei Shoigu said.
