Moment of explosion in Smolensk caught on video: drone seen near aircraft factory and airfield
On the afternoon of October 1, explosions were heard in the Russian city of Smolensk. Eyewitnesses said that several drones flew in the direction of an aircraft factory and an airfield.
The occupiers tried to shoot down the UAVs with small arms. This was reported by Russian propaganda Telegram channels (to see photos and videos, scroll to the bottom of the page).
They tried to shoot down one drone in the area of the Smolensk Aviation Plant located at 76 Frunze Street. The plant is a part of the Tactical Missile Arms Corporation. An assault rifle burst was heard near the plant, indicating that the Russians wanted to neutralize the drone with small arms.
Eyewitnesses filmed the moment of the UAV's flight near one of the car washes, which is located several hundred meters from the aircraft plant. However, judging by the sounds on the video, the occupiers' attempts were in vain.
At the same time, Kremlin propagandists claim that there was more than one drone. Local residents filmed a UAV that exploded violently in one of Smolensk's districts.
As a reminder, on October 1, Russia complained about a new drone attack and shelling. Reports of UAVs were received from Sochi (Krasnodar Territory) and Smolensk Region. Air raid alarms and explosions were heard in the city of Shebekino, Belgorod region.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, on the morning of September 30, the aggressor country, the Russian Federation, complained about a Uragan MLRS attack aimed at the Belgorod region. Nine missiles were allegedly shot down over Belgorod and the occupiers' air defense area.
