The new Mini Cooper EV electric car was caught on camera before the premiere. This is an inexpensive model considering the standards of the segment, so the predecessor turned out to be popular. The car will be officially presented by the end of 2023. Meanwhile, the model is undergoing road tests.
Motor1 reports on the novelty. The body of the new Mini Cooper EV 2024 model year is traditionally covered with camouflage film during road tests of the pre-production prototype. In this case, the exterior of the model was shown earlier as photos were published in the network.
As always, the design of the new Mini will be evolutionary with a recognizable silhouette. Individual details will be inspired by the retro theme again. This means that the recognizable round headlights will remain.

A chrome trim with a plug will be installed at the front instead of the grille. An air intake will be below the bumper. It got a sporty, more powerful modification of John Cooper Works. The manufacturer intends to expand the lineup of its successful electric model.
It is expected that the novelty will be offered with motors with an output of 181 and 215 hp. The top version of John Cooper Works will receive an electric engine with 250 hp.
There will be two battery packs with capacities of 40 and 54 kWh respectively. The power reserve is 300 km in the basic version.
