Mercedes EQC is the first electric crossover of the German brand. The second-generation model was spotted for the first time during road tests. The new EQC will be more affordable and more technologically advanced compared to its predecessor.

This is reported by Electrek. Today, the line of Mercedes electric crossovers has five models. But it was the EQC that was the company's first SUV on electric traction. It's time to prepare a successor.

The unofficial photos show a camouflaged prototype. Design details are kept secret, but we can already see important changes. We can see large rounded headlights and a smooth streamlined nose at the front. The silhouette has become more squat.

In general, it seems that the crossover in the second generation will become more compact. However, due to the use of the new Mercedes MMA platform, a more spacious interior is expected. The first EQC has some problems with this despite the large body.

All because the current crossover is built on an adapted platform, which is used in models with internal combustion engines. But MMA will allow you to organize a more competent layout and install a battery pack of increased capacity.

The premiere of the new Mercedes EQC 2nd generation is expected in 2024. The start of sales will take place in 2025.

OBOZREVATEL earlier reported on the safest new cars of 2023. They are affordable but strong.
