A former head of the Mykolayiv regional prosecutor's office has been sentenced to life imprisonment in Ukraine. He was found guilty of high treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code). The civil servant handed over the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Mykolayiv Region to the enemy.

The verdict of the traitor reported in the Security Service of Ukraine, as well as in the Office of the Prosecutor General. It is noted that the former head of the Mykolaiv district prosecutor's office cooperated with representatives of the power structures of the Russian Federation, using an intermediary for a cover.

As the investigation revealed, the convict passed information about the operational situation in Mykolaiv and the region, the dead military and civilians, prisoners, places of detention, the results of shelling of Mykolaiv, as well as daily passwords to checkpoints in the region, etc.

In order to expose the traitor, the Ukrainian security services carried out a whole operation. They handed him a false list of dead AFU serviceme through a figurehead, and a few days later recorded them with the Russian representative, who was also monitored by the SSU.

The court sentenced the former prosecutor to life imprisonment and confiscation of property.

It should be noted that at the very time when the traitor was cooperating with the Russian Federation, in early March 2022, the Russian Federation launched a missile strike on a military barracks in Mykolayiv, which killed at least 50 people. Relatives of the victims came to the meeting with portraits of the victims of the strike, and threw eggs at the man. during the pronouncement of the verdict.

- The SSU counterintelligence also detained the administrator of a pro-Kremlin Telegram channel. The traitor was leaking   the locations of the AFU on the eastern front to the occupants.
